Education     1994‑1996 Doctoral courses coordinated by Rev. Prof. Dr Joseph Wolinsky, at the Catholic Institute in Paris ‑ scholarship offered by the French Government for the research work.

1992 – 1996 Studies for doctor’s degree at the Faculty of Philosophy of Bucharest University (including the scholarship from the Catholic Institute in Paris, on Rev. Dumitru Staniloae’s recommendation).

PhD thesis Eternitate, timp si eshatologie în antropologia patristica greaca (secolele II ‑ VIII) [Eternity, Time and Eschatology in Greek Patristic Anthropology (centuries 2‑8)], Bucharest, 1996, 243 p., coordinated by Prof. Dr Gheorghe Vladutescu (today vice‑president of the Romanian Academy), a work published subsequently in Bucharest in 1997.

Since 1995 ‑ working on another PhD thesis in the domain of Religious Studies, a thesis which is to be presented at the University of Paris‑Sorbonne (Paris IV).

1996‑ Declared Doctor of Philosophy at Bucharest University.

Professional Experience 1999 – present President of the Ecumenical Foundation “PRO AXE MUNDI” (Bucharest) which has numerous scientific cultural and social‑charitable activities, having as members the Orthodox Metropolitan Bishop Dr Daniel Ciobotea (Iasi), the Roman Catholic Bishop Sebastian Kreuter (Timisoara) and the Lutheran Bishop Dr Christoph Klein (Sibiu).

Pro Axe Mundi” ‑ published several projects on ethnical‑religious themes for dialogue in Romania and South ‑ Eastern Europe and submitted them for support to the qualified commissions of the European Union, U.S.A.I.D.

 

1992 – present Conference of History of Universal Philosophy‑Patrology and Patristic Literature at the Faculty of Theology in Craiova (following the legal approach to become University Professor).

·        until 1998 university lecturer doctor, then titular teacher through contest in 1994‑1995.

·        1998, the National Board of Assessment and Accreditation of University Titles in Romania granted the title of Associate Professor.

·        co‑ordinating graduation and MA projects in Theology

 

2000 ‑ dean of the Faculty of Theology, Craiova University

1998‑2000 Associate Professor for the discipline Philosophy of Religion at the Faculty of Philosophy, Bucharest University (member of the boards examining the candidates to the title of doctor in philosophy).

Present ‑ associate professor at the Theology Faculty of "Valahia" University Târgoviste.

 

2000 – 2002 expert (adviser) at the Ministry of Education and Research, in the Department for Superior Education.

·        collecting a variety of data and information about the retrocession of the patrimony belonging to religious cults in Romania, confiscated by the communist state between 1944‑1989, that is the mobile one, the immobile one, arable areas, forests, pastures and lakes.

·        working on a database regarding the demolition of ecclesiastic buildings and areas that belonged to the religious cults in our country (1944‑1989).

·        undertaking many actions at the local and central politico‑administrative forums for restoring the rights of the damaged religious units.

·        developing a vast research activity, in Romania and France, on the legislation concerning the religious activity in different countries of the world with an old democratic tradition, the materials being of a great importance in the elaboration of the future normative acts which need to be adopted in our country, in order to settle the Romanian religious life in good conditions (see the annexes).

 

Present ‑ researcher collaborating with the National Institute for Totalitarianism Studies under the aegis of the Romanian Academy.

 

1997‑1999 State Secretary at the State Secretariat for Cults of the Romanian Government.

·        Initiated and developed personal relationships with the leaders of the 50 cult centres and dioceses in Romania;

·        initiating, formulating and giving life to important normative acts, such as those referring to the clergy remuneration, the retrocession of some important clerical goods and the law of cults and of religious rights and liberties in Romania.

·        started, developed and improved the international religious relationships with different leading politicians and religious personalities, among which world religious leaders from 25 states in Europe, America and Asia, establishing special and exceptional relationships with those of the Ecumenical Patriarchy in Constantinople (Istanbul), Israel, Armenia, Vatican, China and, not least, those in the United States of America.

·        part of the committee that organised the visit of His Sanctity, Pope Jean‑Paul II in Bucharest, Romania, between 7 and 9 May 1999.

 

2002 ‑ 2006 ‑ member of the Eparchial Assembly from Bucharest.

 

1990main inspector of speciality, then speciality referent at the Cults Ministry (today the State Secretariat for Cults).

 

1993 ‑ 1995 Adviser I A at Cults Ministry

 

1990 ‑1992 Parliamentary Expert in the Board of Abuse Research in CPUN and then in the Chamber of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament.

 

1998 ‑ international expert for I.R.L.A., Washington D.C., elected by the central board of the International Association for Religious Liberties (I.R.L.A., having a consultative status by U.N.O. and the European Council, has its headquarters in U.S.A.);

·        member of the committee of honour of the publication “Conscience et liberté” of I.R.L.A., whose head office is in Bern, Switzerland.

Since 1992 ‑ founding member of the Andrei Saguna” Cultural – Christian League from Sfântul Gheorghe (Covasna county)

·        October 2000Diploma de merit ‑ “The Special Diploma by the Archbishop of Alba‑Iulia, Reverend Dr Andrei Andreicut. “Jubilee 2000”, celebrating 400 years since the first political union made by Michael the Brave and especially the Inauguration of the new building of the Theology Faculty in Alba‑Iulia.

·        1997, 1998 and 1999 ‑ awarded religious decorations: “The Coat of Arms of the Ecumenical Patriarchy of Constantinople (by the Ecumenical Patriarch, His Sanctity Bartholomew I),

·        The rosaries BRC (by His Sanctity, Pope John‑Paul II), “The Coat of Arms of the Armenian Church (by the Archbishop of the Armenian Church from Romania, I.P.S. Marchidian Dyrayr),
